Writing Workshop took off this week. We eased our way into the whole idea of writing for the last few weeks. This week, we dove right in to telling true stories, or small moments in time. We've encouraged the children to "write" a story about something they've done or something that has happened to them. Writing consists of thinking, drawing and writing. Writing may just be a label or two, with beginning sounds, or it may mean an entire sentence- depending on each child's writing ability. It has been so much fun learning more about them and listening to the fun things they've done and the great stories that they remember!
In Math we have been using dot cards to learning about numbers and which numbers are higher and lower that others- using the terms most and least. We've played memory and also Top-It...see if your child can tell you about it.
