I wish to welcome you to Harvest Elementary School. This is an exciting time for your child, even though they and you, may be feeling a bit apprehensive. Let me assure you that it is my privilege to welcome you, your child, and your family into my classroom.
Be assured that I will do my best to make this year enjoyable for your child, and a time filled with real learning. I will guide and encourage your child, celebrating each step of the way! I love teaching and look forward to caring for, supporting, and encouraging your child daily as we embark on the wonderful adventure of learning.
I would also like to take this opportunity to share with you a bit about myself. I graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a degree in Elementary Education. I then received my Masters Degree in Leadership and Administration from Marygrove College. My husband Russ and I live right here in Saline. He is a firefighter in Pittsfield Township, and we have two amazing daughters, Ainsley is going to be a third grader, and Sayla is going to first grade this year! And we have a dog- Henrick.
I want you to know that I am very excited and honored to have this special opportunity of being your child’s kindergarten teacher. I hope to make your child’s learning experience a fun and exciting one, as well as instilling a love of learning that your child will carry with them throughout their life.
