Mrs. V has decided to retire, effective today. She is one amazing women! The blog post title is especially telling- I didn't use the words fantastic or fabulous until I started spending everyday with Mrs. V. And, I couldn't have asked for a better partner to work with in our classroom, day in and day out and all day long! While I do know Mrs. V quite well- It was quite a treat hearing that she was going to work with me this year! Even though it was a few short months, she made a lasting impact on this class and each individual student- as I knew she would. You couldn't have asked for your children to get to know a better, more caring and compassionate woman! She has a special place in her heart for every single person she touches- and that, you don't find very often. If I could have taped the conversation with our class today- it was extremely telling of their thoughts for Mrs. V. There was a gasp in the room when I announced that it was her last day. I had to talk with the class while she was out of the room for a few minutes- since I knew I would tear up :) Many of the students in the class had a tear in their eye, many had lots of questions- but all of them are sad to see her go! However...We are super excited for her to start the next chapter in her life and her new journey. She has more time to spend with her amazing husband John- and her two grown sons, Ryan and Tyler. For that- we are happy for her. We can say we've had the lucky pleasure of getting to know such a great woman!
And- thank you for all of your emails this evening...I am sure to share all of your kind words with her!
