November 17th: 50's Day (THIS TUESDAY) November 20th: Pow Wow- a fun and memorable event that culminates our 2 week study on Native Americans. November 25, 26, 27: No School- Thanksgiving Break December 2nd and 3rd: Conferences: please be sure you've signed up for a time. December 4th: No School- Teacher Record's Day December 9th: Family Gingerbread House Night 5:30 to 6:30- mark your calendars, information to follow. Holiday Sing: December 17th at 9:30- at Saline High School- this is an event EVERYONE will want to attend, we do a holiday concert in the high school auditorium- it is a BIG deal :) Theme This Week: Native Americans (week 3) Reading: Here are the concepts we will cover in Reading Street this week: Phonics: initial and final /k/ Phonemic Awareness: /k/ spelled Cc Popcorn Words/Sight Words: we, my, like (week 2) Comprehension: Realism and Fantasy Writing: all components of making writing easy to read: spacing, punctuation, capital letters, and sounds in words. This is tricky stuff!! Math: number recognition and sequencing, counting and number writing, number relationships (greater, less) | HOMEWORK/PROJECTS/THINGS SENT HOME: Practice Popcorn Words: I, am, the, little, a, to, have, is, we, my, like Reading Street Homework: Unit 2, Week 3 Math HomeLink 3.5 and 3.6 OTHER... 1.
