June 1st: Father's Day Picnic 11:30-12:30 (please be sure someone attends this event with your child) June 10th: Booknic (yes, a BOOKnic, not a picnic) Theme: Robert Munsch Reading: Text-Based Comprehension: Compare and Contrast Phonics: /a/ spelled Aa and /i/ spelled Ii Phonemic Awareness: initial and medial /a/ and /i/ Popcorn Words: review: here, do, little, with, what Writing: We will complete our persuasive books about Pet Rocks and work on writing and recording a song this week :)... a persuasive song about Pet Rocks- I am sure it will be awesome! Math: We have completed the entire Kindergarten math curriculum for the school year. We will spend our days playing various math games, review concepts from the year and challenge students with skills to get ready for FIRST grade! OTHER: We had a great week this week- we had lots of fun with crazy hair day and reading Robert Munsch stories. Tiger's Day was fun too! We learned a little bit about the sport and the team. We are still in need of a few more snacks to get us through to the end of the year.
